1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Building Code Academy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Building Code Academy provides online study materials for ICC (International Code Council) certification exams, including study guides, practice exams, flashcards, audio study guides, tabbing guides, quick reference sheets, study plans, and cram session guides. Access requires a paid subscription.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly ($10/month) or annually ($89/year).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.
  • If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first subscription payment, contact support@buildingcodeacademy.org for a full refund.
  • After the initial 30-day period, no refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

4. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • One subscription is for one individual user. Sharing accounts is prohibited.

5. Intellectual Property

All study materials, content, and software provided through the Service are the intellectual property of Building Code Academy. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share any content outside of your personal study use.

6. Disclaimer

Building Code Academy is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the International Code Council (ICC). We do not guarantee that you will pass any exam. Study materials are provided "as is" for educational purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

Building Code Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Texas.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify subscribers of material changes via email.
